People of Shiloh,

Welcome back to Shiloh this Fall! We hope you can join us for “Welcome-Home” Sunday this week, September 8.  Wear summer colors. This will be our celebration of coming back together to begin our journey of learning and growth for the fall. The desire is to have all of Shiloh’s people gather together and experience worship as a complete community. Following our 10:15 service there will be a potluck meal, we will bless our new shed and celebrate our trustees’ great work, and there will be some great opportunities for our children to play.

This Sunday also begins our new sermon and study series called, Faith by Numbers: Choose your own spiritual adventure. We will be studying scripture alongside the life and teachings of John Wesley who was the beginning point of the Methodist movement. Over this series we will learn practices of faith and see how God calls all of us, big or small, young or old, wise or foolish, great or meek, poor or rich, to experience God’s grace and be a part of God’s story of salvation for the world.

One of my favorite John Wesley quotes is:  “When I was young I was sure of everything; in a few years, having been mistaken a thousand times, I was not half so sure of most things as I was before; at present, I am hardly sure of anything but what God has revealed to me.” This reminds us that God can transform our lives at any time, and give us new insight to how to live in a sacred and whole way by charting a course with God. Come learn about the life God might be calling us all to this fall and welcome home.

We hope to see you this Sunday, September 8 in worship!

Enthusiastic Peace,
Rev. Tyler Amundson

Our choir members all started without knowing their part and learned by practicing Sunday mornings prior to worship. My desire for you as a choir member is that you have a beautiful learning experience, have fun (yes, we laugh plenty), and learn to read and understand music more clearly.  Lead Pastor – Tyler Amundson

My two primary responsibilities as a pastor are coaching leaders and creating community to help each of us see God in our everyday lives.  Shiloh is working with me to increase the interactions of people from different opinions and backgrounds.  We actively pray and work alongside God to create a diverse community to live out the love taught to us by Jesus in our daily practice. I hope you will join us as we work towards this vision of a beloved community working to spread God’s love to our community.

My personal passion for ministry is to all ages through preaching, teaching and organizing ways for people to find their connection with our community and God.  I find fulfillment in my work when I hear someone say, “I found God today.”  I encourage people to search for God on a mountaintop, in church, helping someone out, sharing in a small group, or in their own prayer life.

When I am not at work I enjoy playing with my family by growing our garden, going for bike rides or enjoying a great day in Montana.  My own personal interests involve exercise, parenting, biking, and being a computer nerd.
