Every student will have a chance to ask the big questions about God, life, and how to live in a complex world.  Students are youth grades 6-12.
Our youth group for grades 6-12 is about helping connect youth to each other, their community and learn about this radical guy we know as Jesus.  We meet most weeks on Sunday from 4-5:15pm at Shiloh UMC.
Pastor Tyler will be taking some of the initial leadership, and our ultimate hope is that our youth take the lead in creating their experience together.  Each night we gather we will pray, have fun, seek ways to share love in our community through service, provides space to ask tough questions, and provide our youth with a positive experience of Christian Community.
406 YOUTH UNITED Youth group will run from 3:30-5:30 pm on Sundays for the 2019-2020 year with special events running until 6 pm. We have lots of activities to build community and learn about God’s love. Please invite any youth (6th─12th grade).

Through Shiloh UMC’s Youth Group, we hope to help raise our youth to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Our youth group encourages spiritual and emotional growth through a variety of Bible lessons, discussions, music, art, drama, and recreation. We also realize the importance of supporting parents. Parents are the most important role model in the guidance and development of our youth.
We hope to nurture a positive parent/child relationship based on Christian principles. Therefore, our parents are invited to participate in all areas of our Children’s and Youth ministries. Of course, the children’s safety is always our first priority and we are a Safe Sanctuaries* congregation.
We believe that we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus; to love our world recklessly in all that we do. We believe in each other, and through our fellowship, we desire to grow closer to our Creator. We are a loving and inclusive community of faith. We are learning to live our lives as a reflection of Jesus and God’s grace.
Youth Group is open for anyone in sixth through twelfth grade and you are always welcome to bring a friend (or more!) to join in while we learn, serve, and have fun.

Registration form:

If kids plan to particpate in our programs we ask that parents fill out a registration form to help us with allergies, any special needs, and more.  Please fill out the form below for each child to be involved.

Safe Sanctuaries

We implement safe sanctuaries as more than guidelines, policies and procedures implemented to create an environment in which children, youth and the adults who work with them have boundaries of safe space. Safe Sanctuaries is an overt expression of a congregation in making a congregation a safe place where children and youth may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith. As a part of Shiloh UMC’s Safe Sanctuaries practices, all adults that work with our children and youth are required to undergo background screenings.
